Dilbert Papertoy

Fan art · Dilbert © Scott Adams, Inc.

For everyone who has ever sat in a meeting about meetings.

I read Dilbert every morning in the Kompas newspaper, back when I was working in a bank office myself. The cubicle, the boss with the pointed hair, the absurd memos: it all felt a little too familiar. This papertoy is my salute to the patron saint of office workers.

How to build

From flat to finished

  1. 01Print every sheet at actual size on 160–200 gsm paper.
  2. 02Score the fold lines with an empty ballpoint and a ruler before you cut.
  3. 03Cut along the solid lines. Where the legend shows a star, cut a hole.
  4. 04Fold, then glue part by part in number order, holding each tab until it grips.
  5. 05Let it dry before you play with it.
